You and your partner have the right to say ‘no’ to anything that you don’t want to happen or aren’t comfortable with, and can say ‘no’ at any time. It could be saying ’not tonight’, ‘not there’, no, sorry’, ‘please stop’ or something else – it all means no. If they haven’t actually said ‘no’ but they just don’t seem that into it then you should double check – communication can be non-verbal too.
